To request your test results please complete our Test Results triage. Below is a list of the expected wait times for your test results to be ready:
- Urine samples for infection – 5 days
- Blood tests – 5 days
- Urine samples for pregnancy – 5 days
- Swabs for infections – 1 week
- ECGs (heart traces) – 1 week
- X-rays – 2 weeks
- Ultrasound scans – 2 weeks
- Nail clippings for infection – 2-3 weeks
- Heart scans – 3 weeks

An x-ray is a widely used diagnostic test to examine the inside of the body. x-rays are a very effective way of detecting problems with bones, such as fractures. They can also often identify problems with soft tissue, such as pneumonia or breast cancer.
